What is Counselling?

Essentially counselling is a unique type of mentoring relationship between the client and therapist which can be helpful in exploring the painful limitations of a person's life as well as taking note of their talents and abilities. There are no miracle cures in therapy, but the combined effort between therapist and client in search of a new life direction, can find many clients gain a greater perspective on their problems, with a greater commitment to use their natural strengths to find constructive or creative ways forward.

The process itself is gentle and accommodating and moves forward at a pace that you, the client, decides. In the journey we make together particularly painful or awkward subjects are broached only when you are ready to do so.

Counselling is effective for problems that are specific or general, short or long term. All are explored in complete confidentiality within a safe environment.
